An excellent hotel Exceptionally good service, both by reception staff and at the restaurant/room service. Convenient location, just a few tram stops from the main train station. Fair-sized twin room at very reasonable price.

"Good value hotel and superb service from staff!" My friends and i went to Zurich for a weekend break and apparently stayed at the Hotel Senator. We have never been to Zurich and we've only relied on travel websites as to where to book for our hotel. We were glad that we have chosen the hotel since what we've had was superb service from the staff especially from the friendly guy at the front desk. The hotel was located in a trendy spot and there were lovely bars and restaurants around the area. The hotel's bar and restaurant were also exceptionally good. Anyhow, if we were to go back to Zurich, we will definitely go back and stay at Hotel Senator. It is definitely recommended to everybody.

"Good for money" I stayed with my brother and my wife in a triple room for 4 nights. The room was very clean, warm and large and also the bath. The breakfast was very good. The location of hotel is more than 20 minutes walk from main train station. But you can use the tram. The tram station (lines 4 and 13) is 3 minutes from the hotel. The frequency of tram is 4-5 minutes. The taxi in Zurich is expensive. If i go to Zurich again i will stay for sure, there again.

"Great! Nice room and easy access to the centre of Zurich." The Hotel Senator is located about 1.2km from Zurich main train station, but was about 1/2 hr walk at a leisurely stroll. The walk itself is nice and flat and you can walk into the city along the river which is great on a sunny day. There is also a main tram stop about 50 metres away from the hotel, which is extremely efficient and gets you to the centre in about 5 minutes. We were given a newly refurbished room which was small but lovely and had a fabulous shower. The continental breakfast provided was also fabulous, and we had a nice coffee machine and widescreen TV! The area the hotel is in a very up-and-coming area, with some nice bars, restaurants and shops dotted around. However I would recommend making the effort to go into the centre of Zurich to eat as there's so much choice and the city is fabulous!
