"Brillant Hotel In Good Location" Two sisters and myself stayed in the Montana Hotel for one night on 21 Sept. We found it in a very good location, literally 2-3 minutes from the train station and quite easy to find. The hotel staff were very nice and friendly. The bedroom was very spacious, spotless and on 4th floor. The bathroom was quite small but for all the time you spend in it, it didnt matter. We did not hear any trains or trams as stated in other reviews and the weather was very warm, we kept the windows open at night. I thought the breakfast was of an exceptional standard. I certainly would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

"Great Location & Breakfast" 5 Minute walk from the train station. Excellent Breakfast. Clean & Quite. Our second stay. With the main station so close all of the shop's in the station( 3 floor's) are very easy to get to and there are almost anything you might need in the over 100 shops. All Buses and trams stop at the station. Train to the airport is a 10 min ride and go every 12 min. 90% cheaper than a taxi and far faster. We have stayed in 4 hotels within 10 min of the station and this is the best for the Money. Rusty Barnett. Dallas Texas

"Very Impressed" It is a very nice, modern design. It is much closer in design to a trendy boutique hotel than what most americans would expect from Best Western. The bathroom design was great and the bedroom was nice as well. The location is great, as it is right across the street from the train station, less than 3 min walk. Zurich is such a compact and walkable city, and everything a tourist would want to do is easily in walking distance, or else a short walk to the central train station. The lake is about a 20-30 min. walk, and everthing else is in between. The breakfast was also better than most that I've had in Europe. Highly recommended for a moderately priced hotel in downtown Zurich.

Hotel Montana We had no trouble with our reservation booked through gtahotels.com. The hotel is on the street directly alongside the north side of the main train station. The hotel rooms although remolded since we last stayed here a few years ago are not fancy or even charming. The room we stayed in had no tub but a half round shower with clear walls. The lighting was not great but ok for putting on makeup, there was a regular type hairdryer witch was nice. No washcloths but the towels were bigger than in most european hotels. No bar soap just a wall dispenser in the shower and on the wall at the sink. No lotion, shampoo or conditioner these days in the standard room. Very small free standing closet unit with the tv mounted over (neckache) Only one US speaking tv channel (CNN) Wifi in rooms for a fee, or you can use their computer in the lobby for unliminted time for 5CH (swiss keyboard). The common areas in the hotel had more character than the rooms and the staff were friendly. Only saw the manager one time at checkout but he was very pleasant. The breakfast included in the room rate was the best part of our stay. Very good -- Boiled and scrambled eggs, bacon and little german sausages, cold meats and cheese, plenty of choices of bread and cereal, at least 5 different juices and fruit and yogart. Pleasant staff at breakfast. The hotel was pretty full with a tour of Korean school teachers the last night we were there. No problems with noise from the other rooms. Also they were well prepared for all the guests at breakfast. In order to use the mini bar or the phone you must leave a credit card number at the front desk. The room safe and electricity in the room were controlled through the room card key. We would stay at this hotel again at the great rate we got through GTA. Our visit here was during the last week of Jan. 2007

"A wonderful experience" The hotel exceeded at every turn. Very nice, but plain, room, super and tasty breakfast buffet with something for everyone. Location is excellent. Just a couple of minutes from the heart of downtown and a minute or two from the train station. I am returning again this fall and will stay at the Montana again. One thing that would make it and the other hotels a bit nicer would be to have one or two English speaking non-news stations on cable TV and some English newspapers.
